O Prêmio Eisner revelou os indicados para a edição 2018 e My Favorite Thing is Monsters e Monstress foram os quadrinhos com mais nomeações. O premiados serão revelados durante a San Diego Comic-Con, que será realizada em julho.

My Favorite Thing is Monsters é o primeiro trabalho de Emil Ferris e recebeu cinco indicações, incluindo Melhor Álbum Gráfico Inédito, Melhor Escritor/Desenhista e Melhor Design de Publicação. Já Monstress, obra de Marjorie Liu e Sana Takeda (lançada no Brasil pela Pixel), também recebeu cinco indicações – incluindo Melhor Roteirista, Melhor desenhista e Melhor Capista.

As editoras Fantagraphics e Image foram as editoras que mais receberam indicações. Ano passado, a Image ficou com o prêmio principal por conta de Saga, HQ de Brian K. Vaughan e Fiona Staples.
