Tarefa difícil... Eleger as músicas mais românticas de todos os tempos. Para montar a lista, o jornal estadunidense New York Daily News, estipulou duas regras: a música deveria ter feito parte da parada Top 20 e não poderia ter menos de dez anos.

A assobiável "My Girl" do Temptations faturou a primeira posição da lista com 100 músicas, seguida por Michael Jackson e o Jackson 5, "I´ll Be There", e pela baladona "Wonderful Tonight", do guitarrista Eric Clapton. Além da predominância de artistas da Motown, grande parte das músicas data das longínquas décadas de 60 e 70... Teria sido o mundo mais romântico naquela época?
