A Academia de Artes e Técnicas do Cinema anunciou os indicados ao Cesar Awards 2017 e o brasileiro Aquarius conquistou uma indicação na categoria de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro (via THR).
Além dele, Elle é o grande destaque da premiação, com indicações em 11 categorias. A premiação estava envolvida em uma polêmica, após anunciar Roman Polanski como presidente. O cineasta foi ondenado por estupro de menor nos EUA – saiba mais. Após a reação de vários grupos de defesa das mulheres, Polanski recusou o convite e não estará no evento. A entrega do Cesar Awards 2017 acontece em 24 de fevereiro.
