Será lançada mais uma coletânea da banda britânica The Smiths, no dia 10 de novembro, no Reino Unido.
E o que ela tem de diferente? The Sound of The Smiths tem o aval tanto do ex-vocalista, Morrissey, quanto do ex-guitarrista do Smiths, Johnny Marr, que formavam uma das duplas mais importantes da música britânica.
A coletânea dupla traz 45 músicas remasterizadas de toda a discografia do grupo, que vai de 1983 a 1987, lados B e gravações ao vivo. Será possível comprá-la em versão simples, apenas com o disco 1, recheado de singles, ou na versão integral, com ambos. O volume 2 traz uma cover do James, “What´s the World”, e uma rara versão ao vivo de “Meat Is Murder”, do álbum homônimo, de 1985.
